Irish Garlic Oysters

01 Ingredients

  • 12-24fresh oysters
  • 1/2 lbgood, unsalted butter, soft
  • 1 cuppanko bread crumbs
  • 4 clovesfresh garlic

02 Instructions

  1. mince garlic
  2. add minced garlic and Panko bread crumbs to butter and stir until a good ball is formed
  3. shuck oysters and leave on the half shell
  4. tip out part of oyster liquor
  5. cover oysters with garlic butter
  6. broil in toaster oven for 3-5 minutes until bubbling and golden brown
  7. serve hot
  8. Oyster Shucking Instructions

    1. hold oyster with hinge in the palm of your hand (cup side of oyster should be down)
    2. push knife firmly into crevice between the two shells
    3. slide blade along top of shell to sever connecting muscle
    4. twist knife along the edge until it can be pried apart
    5. remove top shell
    6. slide knife under oyster meat close to shell to cut the muscle
