New York Steak and Potatoes

01 Ingredients

  • 68 ounce New York strip steaks
  • 2 tablespoonshickory smoke salt
  • 1 tablespooncracked black pepper
  • 4 tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce

02 Instructions

  1. rub both sides of steak generously with hickory smoke salt and black pepper
  2. let steaks sit for minimum of 1 hour
  3. douse steaks with Worcestershire
  4. marinate overnight
  5. grill on barbeque set to 400°F for 5 minutes per side (for medium rare consistency, depending on steak thickness)
  6. remove from grill, cover with tin foil and let sit 5 minutes

01 Ingredients

  • 10yellow flesh potatoes
  • 1sweet onion, cut in half
  • 1 cupsour cream
  • 1/2 cupbutter
  • 1/2 cupmilk
  • 1 cupricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspooncracked black pepper

02 Instructions

  1. wash potatoes and leave skins on
  2. boil potatoes with the sweet onion
  3. drain and discard onion
  4. add 250ml sour cream
  5. add 125ml butter
  6. add 125 ml milk (May need to add more as you mash)
  7. add 1 cup ricotta cheese
  8. cracked black pepper to taste
  9. mash until just blended (Some small chunks are okay)
  10. Garnish with lemon zest

  • 1/4 cupbutter
  • 1sweet onion, cut into strips
  • 1/2 cloveminced garlic
  • 3 tablespoonsbourbon
  • 1 teaspoonsalt
  • 1 teaspooncracked black pepper
  • 1/4 cupsliced almonds

02 Instructions

  1. steam green beans
  2. drain
  3. in a fry pan melt butter
  4. on low heat sauté sweet onion cut into strips until golden with minced garlic while slowly stirring in bourbon
  5. add green beans and sliced almonds
  6. sauté until beans are slightly crisp
  7. add salt and pepper to taste
